Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Word Document app ("the app"), published on Google Play by Cong Huy Co., Ltd ("we"), handles information. In short: we do not collect, store or share any personal data. The app has no ads, no analytics, no account and no sign-in, and it does not connect to the internet.

Your documents

• Files you open. You choose a document with the Android file picker, or send one to the app with "Open with" or "Share". The app reads and edits it only on your device, and saves it back only where you choose.
• Recent files and recovery. The app keeps a list of recently opened documents and, while you write, a recovery copy of unsaved changes, so your work can be restored if Android closes the app. Both stay in the app's private storage on your device.
• Settings such as language, proofing and display options are stored on your device. Android may include app data in your device backup if backup is turned on in your system settings.

Features that use Android services

• Read Aloud uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your phone. The text is passed to that engine on your device; see your speech engine's own policy.
• Print uses the Android print system. The printer or print service you pick receives the pages you print.
• Share hands a file to the app you choose.
• Ratings and updates. The app may ask Google Play to show its rating dialog or to check for an update. Google Play handles these under Google's privacy policy; we receive no personal data from them.

What we do not do

• No advertising or advertising ID
• No analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs
• No uploading of your documents; no cloud storage
• No selling or sharing of data with third parties
• No accounts, purchases or payment data

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Your choices

You can remove a document from the recent list in the app at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your device; documents you saved to your own folders stay where you saved them.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
