Open a document

Tap Open a file on the home screen and pick the document, or open it from your Files, email or chat app with Open with › Word Document.

Save or export

Use the menu at the top left: Save writes back to the same file, Save As makes a copy, Export saves as PDF or another format, Print opens the Android print preview.

Lost changes?

If the app was closed before you saved, open it again: a Recover document card on the home screen brings back your last unsaved text.

A file opened from another app shows "File unavailable"

Some apps give only temporary access to a file. Open it again from the original app, or tap Choose file again.
